Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory : ウィキペディア英語版 | Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory
The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory is an ice cream shop at a converted 1922 fireboat house at 1 Water Street, on the Fulton Ferry Landing Pier in Brooklyn, New York City, in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge in the Dumbo neighborhood. ==History== The ice cream shop was opened by owner Mark Thompson in 2001, shortly after the September 11 attacks. Thompson learned the craft of making ice cream at Martoni's, a family-run operation in Pennsylvania.〔 It sits in a landmark fireboat house on a ferry landing that is the oldest one in the city, at the Brooklyn end of the Brooklyn Bridge, with an impressive view of the skyline of Manhattan. In the past, firefighters in the marine fireboat station on the ferry landing had used the little wooden shack for fireboat target practice.
